Inspired by Kimberly Blaeser's poem "When Her Body is a Battleground" this artwork honors the memory of missing and stolen Indigenous women. The poem itself and more information on its' author can be found here.
Created with deep reverence for my Lakota and Cherokee heritage and grief for our missing and stolen sisters, this enchanted forest scene depicts fawns gathered by a misty stream. I imagine them safe now and hope for healing for those left behind.
Printed with vivid colors on premium glossy photo paper, this deeply meaningful piece supports Native recognition and healing 💜
